Riebangolli Jorunn Løkvold

Temporary Exhibitions 25.11.2021 - 22.5.2022

During a three-year research fellowship at the Norwegian Crafts Institute, duojár Jorunn Løkvold has immersed herself into the use of mica in Sami clothing traditions. In the Sami language mica is called "fox gold".

In the exhibition, she shows self-produced interpretations and versions of mica in Sea Sami textiles: clothes, accessories and pictures. We will also exhibit selected objects from Alta Museum's collection. Welcome to a beautiful and inspiring exhibition of Sami clothing traditions and crafts.
