Overlap/Superimposition
Used on figures that overlap with other figures. Some figures are overlapping to such a degree that they are treated as a single figure in the rock art archive. Some of these figures are also superimposed, which means that the figures haven’t been carved at the same time and the younger figure is superimposed on the older. In many cases it’s hard to tell if overlapping figures really have been made at different times, and also which figure was made first/last.
